My Take:
Automation boosts productivity, but this case is a wake-up call for keeping humans in the loop (HITL). Technology isn’t foolproof. Especially when AI isn’t supervised. It’s not just about saving time - it’s about preserving trust and accuracy.

As I often remind learners during my Gen AI workshops, trust but verify.
AI can make mistake. It is up to us, humans to exercise discernment and always review AI-generated content, data, and research. And having a review process for anything done with automation is key.

AI remains as a tool to support, it is not a replacement for human judgment.

PS: Can you imagine trying to hold an AI accountable, or even suing the tech itself? Who’s responsible when things go wrong?
