Waymo’s driverless taxis are hitting the streets in Silicon Valley, Austin, Miami, and rolling out with Uber in some cities. Expansion to NYC and Washington DC is also underway.

Baidu’s Apollo Go started in major Chinese cities, covering over 130 million autonomous kilometers—sometimes with no safety driver, tackling tough urban traffic. Their sixth-generation RT6 robotaxi costs less than $30,000 to make (versus Waymo’s $150,000), giving Baidu a big economic edge
