\"Looking back, the signs were all there..

"Looking back, the signs were all there. I just kept telling myself things would turn around."

A client said that to me during a coaching session recently.
And I sat with it for a moment cos I've heard similar versions.

→ From someone watching a relationship at work quietly deteriorate.
→ From a person whose career drifted somewhere they never intended.
→ From someone who looked back and could see, with painful clarity, every moment they chose not to act on what they already knew.

You see, most significant setbacks are not sudden. They are gradual. A series of ignored warnings, each one easier to dismiss than the last, until the consequences arrive and the dismissing is no longer possible.

The hard truth is that the information was USUALLY there. The question was never really whether we saw it coming. The question was why we kept waiting.

And just as important: what does one do when one find yourself in the middle of something that did not have to go this way?

Because that is often where the most significant turning points begin.
